A small backstory
We're a family who ended up building a life in London.
After years of studying, working, and moving through every stage of relocation — student days and tiny flat hunts, building careers, raising a family — we learned how the city really works. Often the hard way.
We started Indonesian in London to pass on the practical lessons we wish we'd had earlier: housing, schools, taxes, groceries, and all the small cultural surprises that Google doesn't quite tell you about.
We kept asking the same things, over and over
- Is this salary actually enough?

- Which areas could genuinely work for us?
Instead of guessing each time, we turned those questions into tools we could actually use — what you take home, what a month really costs, how much rent is realistic, and which areas genuinely fit. They're simple by design, built from real questions we kept asking ourselves.
We keep things low-profile on purpose. The focus isn't on us — it's on being useful to anyone weighing up a move, an offer, or the monthly maths of a life already underway here.
